Parenting Coaching

Do you have difficulties balancing your life between work and motherhood?
Do you struggle to maintain boundaries at home?
Do you feel as though you are on a constant treadmill?

Perhaps your home looks as though a bomb has exploded and your washing basket is continuously overflowing!

Being a parent is not an easy task and I say that as a single parent and a Primary School Teacher of 21 years! You may wonder why your children behave for their school teacher, but argue back with you or try to negotiate everything from how much time they spend on their devices, to what they will eat, to what time they will go to bed!

I hear you! i’ve been there!

No one teaches us how to be a parent, it’s actually a 'learn on the job role' for most of us!

We all parent differently-think about your own childhood. Sometimes our own parenting is a byproduct of our own. After all, this is what we are familiar with.

Remember what may work for some parents, may not work for you.

Sometimes it may appear as though your friends have mastered their parenting skills and that their children are much more receptive and compliant. Remember, no one really sees what goes on behind closed doors!

You may often seek advice and tips from your friends. Remember their children are different in their character, mannerisms and personality to your children.

What works for one child, may not work for another!

As your coach, I can help you to:

  • establish healthy parenting habits to minimise your stress levels

  • develop and maintain reasonable boundaries and  a respectful relationship with your children so that you learn to enjoy your time together

  • find and establish a routine that works around your family's needs

  • help you find a balance between your career, relationships and raising your children

Sometimes our own relationships with ourselves and others can impact our parenting styles. Children are often receptive to the changes in their parents’ moods. We may already have our own challenges- a health issue, a demanding job, a loss, a marriage breakdown or other disappointments. These can impact our own well-being and then we may put the pressure on ourselves to be the best parent that we can.

You are not alone in this.

I can help you work through these everyday challenges
